Overview

The Curtis CCA-1815C2 oil drain valve replaces your large 17mm oil drain plug. Installation torque of 22 foot pounds is required and identical to the OEM oil plug. Its design incorporates an activation tool used to function the valve.
This design has been reliably used throughout the aviation industry for decades. Simply connect the activation tool to the valve, direct the drain hose into your disposal container, then push and twist the tool to lock the valve in the open position. Installing the valve can be done through the factory skid plate. Connecting the tool, and functioning the valve can be done through the side access near passenger rear tire. Curtis recommends a minimum of 1.750" clearance when measuring from the bottom of the skid plate to the head of the oem drain plug. Depending on terrain use, skid plate thickness, you may prefer more/less clearance.
