A simple push and twist action locks the CCB-39600 Series Quick Drain Hose in place and opens the drain valve. Internal O-ring seals assure a positive drip proof connection, and fuel flows through 5ft of high grade vinyl tubing preventing spillage. |
I haven’t tried it yet, and hope this time I got the size right.
Curtis CCB-39600-5 Quick Drain Hose Brass
Curtis CCB-39600-5 Quick Drain Hose Brass
A useful product though I had hoped to have have zero fuel spill. Since some fuel collects at the attachment point, when you connect and disconnect you will have some limited spillage.
Great idea but couldnt get it to seal properly and couldnt stop leakage...ended up using a funnel.
CCB-39600-3 Yel Quk Drain Hose
Finally received it after third try, it leaks around top of fitting,30 gals, drained 1/2gal. In ketch pane under hose even tried on new cca3400 it still leaks Curtis needs seal on outside below hex shape
Bought 2 of these to drain both wings at one time. Just leaks everywhere right out. Have tried multiple ways to improve but not worth the fight at this point.
I bought the matching brass 39600-5 Model to go with 1550 drain valves on my Cherokee 140, thinking Curtis Product + Curtis Product = Leak Proof Connection. No exaggeration, I got more fuel all over my arm and on the hangar floor than ever made it into the fuel container when I tried to de-fuel for some maintenance action. The thing didnt make a seal at all and just gashed fuel all down the outside of the connection. A good old simple funnel worked perfectly and didnt spill a drop. Lesson learned.
