Micro Vortex Generators from Micro Aerodynamics, Inc. are available for a wide range of aircraft and can reduce stall speed, improve aileron response, improve cross wind control, and reduce landing and takeoff roll. The kits consist of vortex generators mounted on the wings, the horizontal stabilizer, and the vertical stabilizer. The generators are manufactured under FAA/PMA from 6063T6 aluminum and are curved to fit the contour of the wing. Drive an A23-19 Musketeer and I have had my VGs on for almost 2 years. Major handling improvements, dropped stall speed about 7 MPH (old style a/s indicator) and very smooth in flight. Although the mouse stalls were benign to begin with, these really make it possible mush down at amazing speed when you pull speed way back below stall. Zero wind my best short field landing was is the 450 foot range. I don't ever plan to fly another plane without VGs and if you have a twin it verges on stupid not install them for the single engine out safety factor.
