MFR Model# CAV-110

Overview

SAF-AIR push type fuel drain valves are close tolerance valves of simple design. These valves provide the most trouble free operation of any other line of valves in the industry. SAF-AIR valves are manufactured with an o-ring placed on the stem to seal against a flat seat on the body. This design eliminates an area where dirt can gather, thus putting an end to the main cause of fuel drain valve drip. FAA & PMA APPROVED.

Note: Aircraft applications are for general reference only. Verify correct valve for your aircraft before ordering.

Q: What is the correct replacement O-ring for the CAV-110 drain valve?

It only needs the tip o-ring, part # MS29513-006.

Q: Does the CAV-110 have a wire hole so it can be safety wired? I do not see it in the photo.

No. The CAV-110 (05-01865) does not have a wire hole drilled into it for safety wire.

Q: What size socket wrench to remove/replace? Our current leaky valve requires 5/8

This would use a 1/2" socket.

Q: What hose fitting can I use to connect the CAV-110 to a 1/4 ID fuel hose? I would like a 45 degree one if possible. It would have to be a female (to receive the CAV-110) with a hose or barb to go into the fuel line.

You would need an an844-4 (steel) or -4d(alum) and an AN910-1(brass) of -1D(alum coupling.
