CW-172001 adapter assembly replacement for Cessna part #0700325-1 and 0700325-2 Download the Installation Instruction |
This product is more useful than the plastic one it replaces. the wings are pliable enough that it will conform to the shape of the front of the wing (theyre all slightly different) AND tappable so no need for a Tinnerman nut.

Good replacement part, Better than Original.
Great improvement over the plastic OEM tube. Very well designed and instructions were easy to follow.
Compared to the more than $400 list for the OEM plastic part from Wichita, the price is a bargain even at 2x the published cost, and its metal, besides. Dont forget the log entry and get an A&P (if you are not one) to sign off the work.
I would give this product 5 stars but for the instructions. Originally, at least on the early 172s and 175s there was an aluminum tube that plugged into the plastic fitting this product replaces. The diameter of the tube is the same as this this product. With out cutting that tube and using a short piece of SCAT, and two clamps one can not install this Vent Tube Bracket Adapter. The better approach would be to make the connection with one long piece of 1 SCAT. A small hole on the bottom where where the SCAT turns up into the fuselage to allow rain out. I give Aircraft Spruce 1 Star for not helping me get the supplier phone number for his counsel.
Quality part. Permanently solves the problem. Overpriced even at aircraft prices.
