This system operates on the latest Search and Rescue (SAR) frequency of 406.025 MHz in addition to 121.5 and 243 MHz. It comes ready to connect to the Artex ELT to NAV interface, which enables the ELT to transmit Latitude and Longitude data (P/N 455-6500). The system includes an ELT transmitter, LiMnO2 5-year Battery Pack, Mounting Bracket, Remote Switch, Horn/Buzzer, Coax Cables, High Speed Rod Antenna, Installation Hardware, and an Installation and Operation Manual. This kit (part number 11-02985) includes a high speed rod antenna.
Per Artex, the tray and cover between these two units will be the same, however, the cap will need to be changed to 452-5052. Ensure that your antenna has a dual input type, as the C406-2 is a dual output antenna. C406-1 and C406-N are single output antenna models.
