The KI203, KI208, KI204, & KI209 indicators feature an internal VOR/ LOC converter and are compatible with the KX155 transceiver. The KI203 & KI204 have rectilinear meter movement, while the KI208 & KI209 feature pivot needle action. The KI206 has rectilinear meter movement and works with the KX165 & KNS80. The KI209 includes GPS interface capability.
The KI 209A indicator are similar to the KI 208 and KI 209, respectively, but also interface with the KLN 89/89B GPS. Both feature internal relays to switch between VOR/LOC and GPS modes; an external selector switch is required. |

Since the King KNS-80 contains an internal VOR/LOC Converter, it is designed to be used with indicators that do not include this converter. The KI-209A does have this converter built in and would not be a suitable choice.
This is a standard KI-209A Bendix-King Silver Crown indicator by Honeywell. This does not have an internal annunciator.
