This book is the memoirs of Russell Holderman's contribution to aviation as a true pioneer. Holderman's career spanned from the infancy of aviation to the corporate jet. He completed his first solo flight in a Curtiss pusher biplane in 1913. His license, #227, was signed by Orville Wright. Russ was a stalwart in aviation through sixty years, stunt pilot, barnstomer, World Ware I instructor, airmail pilot, LT. Commander U.S. Naval Reserve, chief pilot for Gannett Newspapers, Past President of the Early Birds, an inductee of the OX-5 club Aviation Hall of Fame - and a friend of many of the other great aviation figures such as Charles Lindbergh, Amelia Earhart, and Eddie Rickenbacker.
