Q: Can DAP original contact cement be used to install aircraft fabric?

Per manufacturer: We can only say that it will bond to most plastics. We recommend to get a small piece of fabric to use this on to test it out first before applying it to your aircraft.

Q: Can this DAP original contact cement work as a heat-activated glue? Meaning, once it dries, I can use an iron to stick fabric on the surface where the contact cement has been applied?

This adhesive is a permanent adhesive. It will be fully cured after 72 hours. It's not a heat activated glue.

Q: How many square feet does a pint cover?

This can be tricky to answer. It would depend on the substrate and how thick it is applied. If the substrate is porous it will require more glue than if its a solid smooth surface. Rough coverage area is 216 sq. ft per gallon, so approx. 27 sq ft per pint can.

Q: Can I use this on my firewall to hold soundproofing fabric?

If it is on the cabin side of the firewall then it should be okay, its rated up to 180 F.

Q: Can this stuff be used on certificated aircraft? FAA Burn certification standard?

This material does not have FAA certs.
