Reviews

Its what I expected for the money spent. Happy with my purchase. Carb heat door is a bit stiff but it functions and it has plastic bushings on the shaft. Ill likely try to upgrade those to the normal heat valve shaft bearings. Thought it was funny that it is built with the quarter turn fasteners for the air filter.

Well made, fits older model C-172s

The surface where the air filter is to attach to the box is not straight. It has a bow in it. It will require modification to be useable. Considered sending it back but was afraid I would get a worse one as a replacement.

Nice looking heat box but...... When you lay the box on a table with the air filter bracket side down on the flat surface if the table, you see that that surface is not straight. It has a bow in it. You can see daylight of about 1/8 inch on two corners. I considered sending the damned thing back but then thought that another one might be worse. I will have to pay my sheet metal man an hour or two of wages to retify this problem.
