Would not recommend pad type heat for RV9A O-320 with fuel injection due to limited application area meeting REIFF specifications. Product adheres well after 3 hrs of flying. I did not have room for thermostat installation but instruction say it is not necessary. I put silicon fire sleeve around plastic connectors .

Reiff Hotstrip Oil Sump Heater
Solves the space problem I had with the EZ Heater pad touching my new Powerflow exhaust collector. These are small enough to mount one on both sides of the oil sump.
Reiff Hotstrip Oil Sump Heater
I received my order in a timely manner, although I haven’t installed them yet on my O-360 powered RV6 kit. I have used these sump heaters before and prefer them because of their size and ease of installation. There isn’t always a lot of open real estate on the bottom of the oil pan, but I’ve always been able to find a spot for these - and they work great in service.
Reiff Hotstrip Oil Sump Heater
Top notch and very affordable. But most importantly, it works as advertised.
