Oil Temperature Bulb Adapter 95527
Came fast with regular mail. It was just what I needed.
Have not used this adapter, but found that is has a flat seat for the temperature bulb to seal against. This needs to be mentioned in the catalog description.
Just what was needed.
Fast and accurate description. Worked as advertised.
A nice piece of gear! I had a problem with the very large oil temp sensing bulb taking up enough space inside the sensor area that it restricted oil flow enough to drop oil pressure. This fitting backed up the sensor bulb enough inside the cavity to open up a flow path. Perfect! I used copper washer type gaskets from NAPA to seal the adapter into the sensor opening and its drip free. It is machined inside to accept tapered seat oil temp sensors. You can also stack these things if you need a really significant backing up of your temp sensor bulb, just put another copper washer gasket between the two adapters.
Female threaded end not as deep as the one I replaced had. Concerns about enough thread engagement. Nearly 1/16 shallower.

Yes, that is correct.
This is .450".
You would want to use a copper crush gasket on both ends of the adapter.
