HIGH PRESSURE LAMINATED PHENOLIC
Commonly called “Micarta”, a trademark of Westinghouse. Laminated sheets, tube and rods are produced in many grades, sizes and colors. These characteristics vary with the grade and its use.

I purchased 3/16 phenolic sheet to make small scrapers for paint removal. I cut 6 lengths to various widths ground an edge on one end and rounded the other end so it wouldnt hurt my hands and presto! - a nice tool for scraping off paint or sealant without hurting aluminum. I gave this latest batch 4* rather than 5* because Im not sure it holds an edge as well as some previously purchased phenolic it seemed to fray a little quicker. But, I would buy it again if I run out of my current stock.
