Airloc A-Spec Cross Pins |
I have been working for 3 years on restoring a 75 year old Canadian Army Wireless set that made use of the Airloc #5 Wing Head Cowl Fastener and the smaller Shakeproof #2 Wing Head Fasteners. I needed pins for both but could find nothing about them anywhere based on their wartime military nomenclature. By accident recently, I spotted a photo on line of one of the pins, in which is was referred to as a Cross-Pin. That photo led me to your website. On contacting your company, Carolyn was of tremendous assistance explains how the sizing system for these Cowl Fasteners worked and I was able to purchase the smaller #2 pins for the Shakeproof Fasteners on my wireless set. Now, I just need to find a source of supply today for the actual Wing Head style #2 and #5 Cowl Fastener Studs. It seems the slotted countersunk and slotted truss-head Cowl Fastener Studs are still available, but the Wing Head style studs are still proving elusive. I have passed along your company information to a number of other individuals looking for these Cross-Pins. Small orders, but it does spread the word. Thank you and best regards. David. Received on time and worked as advertised.

The number pin works with that numbered stud. 2 series studs use -2 pins, and 5 series studs use -5 pins. Approx. Dims: -2 pins = .313" long, .063" diameter. -5 pins = .449" long, .095" diameter.
Yes, that is correct.
