New ACS high pressure gascolator. Lighter weight and simpler design than the ACS "classic" gascolator. Bailwire and attaching hardware have been eliminated. Threaded collar secures bowl to top. Tested to 40lbs. Bowl is cadmium plated and top and collar are anodized for corrosion protection. Top has 1/4" pipe ports for 3/8" fuel line and one 1/8" pipe port for primer fitting.

ACS High Pressure Gascolator
Great gascolator with improved bowl sealing ring. The mounting hardware I used was a #30 Adel clamp around the bowl secured by a smaller Adel around the motor mount tube. One bolt through both Adels held the gascolator tight
ACS High Pressure Gascolator
Excellent quality.
ACS High Pressure Gascolator
Far better than the old one made by Piper …
ACS High Pressure Gascolator
very well made and affordable
The In my opinion the ACS HIGH PRESSURE GASCOLATOR is a huge improvement over the old style with the bailing wire. It is a precision machined part. The ACS description seems to be wrong. They state the Bowl is cadmium plated , that suggests the bowl is steel and will eventually rust when the Cad plating wears out like the old bowls used to. This is not the case, the bowl is machined aluminum with an anodized finish. Time will tell if it will last better than steel, but I expect it will, we have aluminum gas tanks and lines that outlast the old gascolators. One review said it needs a way to safety wire the bowl nut ring, It has holes drilled around the nut ring for that purpose. It was unclear whether a drain valve came with it, a Curtis valve is included. The first complaint I have is the 1/4 NPY ports were not tapped deep enough in my opinion. I could only get 2 turns on one and 2 1/2 on the other. I know the tapered fittings would probably wrench in to the recommended minimum 3 threads engagement. I wanted a bit more so I tapped them a couple turns deeper, an easy fix. The other complaint is that they didnt incorporate a good way to mount it. They could have included a couple of bosses on the top with cross drilled bolt holes. I used a stud with epoxy and a jam nut in the 1/8 npt primer port on top as I have seen others do. The only reason I didnt give 5 stars was the lack of a good mounting system. I know they sell a bracket for it, but Im using it in a Pitts S1S and wanted a solid attachment. I will buy again for other airplanes, but I hope they revise the design for better mounting.
ACS High Pressure Gascolator
Nice compact gascolator, good quality of construction. The only reason I did not give it 5 stars is it would be better if it had a way to safety wire the bowl locking ring.
Very high quality fit and finish. I would have given 5 stars but the design provides no positive provisions for mounting it. Other than suspending it from the fittings (generally a poor way to go) theres no threaded bosses or tabs to attach a good mount to.

Per the manufacturer, the high pressure unit (part # 05-04248) does not use the same bracket as the regular unit. It uses the Gascolator Mounting Flange found in the "Accessories" tab (part # 05-00907).
Yes, it works in low and high pressure applications.
No, this gascolator is not FAA Approved. It is intended for use in experimental aircraft only.
Per the supplier: Top has 1/4" pipe ports for 3/8" fuel line and one 1/8" pipe port for primer fitting. It is tested to 50 PSI, but we do not have a fuel flow rate.
Yes, they both share the same dimensions.
Yes, this will work as this will have 1/4" NPT ports and AN840-6D has a 1/4" NPT thread.
Approx 0.36 lbs.
There is a screen at the top of the bowl.
It is tested for 50lbs but we do not have flow rate specs for this unit.
This comes with the 120 micron screen.
