Very economical and round as a tire can be. Actually, I could remove the wheel balance weights and am very happy with the result.

I have used Desser retread tires for the last several years. For the money, it is a great solution to your tire needs. For rental airplanes or for high cycle operations, go the retread route. However over the last 6 months, I have notice issues with sidewall rubber cracking (not into the cord). This appears to be a carcass age issue and does not necessarily impact the performance of the tire. It is unnerving to see this condition when doing your pre-flight and hopefully Desser is evaluating serviceability prior to vulcanizing the new rubber. Maybe a simple information sheet could be provided with each tire so as to better understand what to expect with a used retreaded tire.
