I bought to replace the old cleveland master cylinders on my experimental kitfox. They fit perfectly and work great. The price was another determining factor . Glad I bought and will recommend them to any one who asks.

Q: You state that the MCMC-4A is 0.5" shorter than the MCMC-4. Where is this 0.5 taken from, the cylinder or the stroke?

The body of the master cylinders are the same, the stroke for the MCMC-4A is 0.5" shorter than the MCMC-4 unit.

Q: Can the mcmc-4 be mounted with either end up?

They will function fine with once bled with the shaft up or down. It is preferred to have the shaft end higher since the natural flow of any air in the hydraulic system would flow from the outlet port (the lug end) to the inlet port (the shaft end) easily.

Q: What is the difference between the Matco MC-4 and MCMC-4 master cylinder? Could the extra MC be a typo?

"MC-4" is a typo, the correct model number is "MCMC-4."

Q: Can the MC4 master cylinder be used in series with an MC 5 master cylinder in a dual braking system?

Yes. That is correct.

Q: I have an RV12 and have a leak on right side brake. Are these interchangeable between left and right wheels? Thanks

These can be mounted on the left or right.
