JPI’s newest piece of panel wizardry relegates fuel-situation questions to relics of the past. From its new home between the top row of flight instruments and the top of avionics stack, the FS-450 blinked and winked the numbers to answer all my fuel-situation questions. Connected to our Honeywell Skymap IIIC, the FS-450 happily winked and blinked its way through its information inventory and left me as relaxed as any fat-dumb-and-happy aviator should get — minus the “dumb” part of the equation, of course. Heavy-duty information and a light-duty price; could you want more? Sure, easy installation would be nice, something JPI also covered. |
The Aviation Consumer, Product of the Year. JPI’s FS-450 is our top choice because it has all the options you need for fuel management.
Display on my FS450 was erratic, sometime shutting off in flight despite good wiring and volt supply . Just ordered this brand new one to avoid workshop trouble shooting on a 15 years old display . Plug and play OK . Hope this display lasts at least 15 years. I appreciate FS 450 accuracy . A real need in managing and monitoring fuel on my IO550 V35.
J.P. Instruments Fs 450 Fuel Injected Engine With Fuel Pump
Purchased an additional $300 in parts, installed in about 7 hours with 2 people. Works as it it should. I have not had it installed long enough to test accuracy . I’m very happy with the FS 450 and it sure makes you lean it out!
J.P. Instruments Fs 450 Fuel Injected Engine With Fuel Pump
Works like a charm. Accurate and reliable. A&P quoted 8 hrs for the install and paperwork. YMMV.

J.P. Instruments Fs 450 Fuel Injected Engine With Fuel Pump
I ordered this product to replace the same unit that failed after 14 years of excellent reliability. Straight forward to use and far better than unreliable tank gauges
J.P. Instruments Fs 450 Fuel Injected Engine With Fuel Pump
Very nice! Easy to read and programing was easy also. Two videos on YouTube from JPI on how to use it.
Excellent addition to any panel.
Best upgrade I did for the plane. When coupled to a compatible GPS it provides a great sense of fuel quantity situational awareness. Itll let the pilot know if there is enough gas to make it to the next waypoint or not. Well worth the price.
Very good

Yes it does as you have to select gravity fed (231) or fuel pump (201) system.
Please note that the FS 450 cannot be used as a primary fuel flow in your panel (in can be used for secondary). The JPI FS 450 comes with all the parts to install the FS 450 but other parts like tubing and connections from your fuel system need to be ordered separate. We recommend you and your mechanic review the manual on our documents tab before ordering to make sure the install is efficient.
