Swift 2 Round Dual CHT 100-700F
As others have done, I purchased the 2” round duel CHT gauge and pair of 14mm spark plug leads for my air cooled BMW R65 Motorcycle and mounted it in an old plastic top of dashboard AC compass housing. The gauge and installation work very well...
Excellent!
I use this to monitor the cylinder temperatures of my 78 CB400T. Since the bike is air-cooled, I want to make sure I dont overheat the engine. I find the gauge to be pretty accurate for what I need it to do. Its simple to install since it doesnt need any power. The only thing its missing is a backlight.
So far so good. Works as its supposed to. Application IGSO480 Lycoming on an airboat.
The parts arrived promptly and after installation and then observation over a week I am totally satisfied with this product.
I bought this for a two cylinder boxer engine motorcycle(not a BMW)just to keep an eye on the CHT while riding. Works a charm. Install was fairly straight forward.
Does what it supposed to do. Im using this on a 1981 BMW R100RT. Fit perfectly where the analog clock was located. The only improvement for MC use I can suggest would be waterproofing and lighting.
Swift 2 Round Dual CHT 100-700F
Spend extra time and materials to install on my snow machine engine using heat shrink and tape on connections and sensors. Worked for 1 day and then one sensor quit. Guess Ill buy another sensor and see how it goes but not great results so far. Had one of these 20 years ago and it use to see some pretty rough treatment and never failed. Done lots of mechanic work for a living and went above and beyond install instructions. ???
