In 1985 AC discontinued production of the popular “RT” series of mechanical tachometers. Mitchell immediately entered the market to fill the void. These tachs feature exceptional accuracy and reliability. Mitchell tachs come with a factory-direct 2 year warranty. The range on all models is 500 to 3500 RPM. Accuracy is +/- 25 RPM from 1000 to 3000 RPM. Determine the correct part number from the chart below. All Mitchell tachs are FAA approved to TSO-C49b for certified aircraft. 2-1/4" tachs are direct replacements for the 3-1/8" tachs to save panel space. 10-02354 for custom range marks (specify ranges, 4-6 week lead time). 10-02479 to set hours (specify hours, 14 day lead time). Direction of rotation is defined as when viewing the front of the tachometer. |

Mitchell Tachometer P/N D1-112-5122
My current tach froze this morning at 1600 RPM. Needless to say I was stuck (pun intended). Susan and the team at Mitchell Aircraft helped me diagnose and resolve my problem. They worked with me to get a new tach in the process as quickly as possible. Anyone with an aircraft knows downtime is the norm. But, if there is someone kind and helpful like Susan was today. They can get you back in the air safely and faster. I appreciate their help and will recommend all my fellow aviators that they use Mitchell whenever possible.
Works and looks good. Great customer service from Mitchell!
works good
Took 8 days to arrive. Wouldve been nice to get a tracking number, it showed up mysteriously one morning. A&P installed it without complaining too much about it, considering a Mitchell was what was in there to begin with. Does everything you would expect out of a tach - tells you how fast the spinny thing is spinning and how many more hours of fun you have left before the next oil change. BTW, the old Mitchell failed at around 1850 hours of use, although I suspect it had been going out slowly before then, not reading quite right at the high RPMs.
Always good service from Aircraft Spruce, Thanks.
Works great, easy install. Consider buying some new mounting nuts to make install even easier.
A perfect fit. Suggest you list the Instrument nuts that would fit this instrument on the same page as a accessory to consider when ordering.
