ACK E-04 RJ11 Modular Coupler
I contacted Aircraft Spruce to inquire about a new ELT for my failed Ameri King 450. I spoke with an avionics specialist who pointed me in the direction of several 406 mhz units and we discussed the pros and cons of each. I decided on the ACK Technologies E-04 which is able to use the wiring already installed for the Ameri King with the exception of you will need this adapter for $5.00 This saved a considerable amount of time during the install. The tech answered all of my questions and made sure I had all the necessary parts, including this adapter, to complete the job. Shipping was one day only. The install was very simple and straight forward and only required an A&P I.A. log book entry. Thank you Aircraft Spruce for excellent customer service. I now have a much safer, more accurate and working ELT in my plane
Required if you are retrofitting from an Ameri-King ELT and allows you to leave the existing remote cable in place, greatly simplifying the installation. Definitely worth it vice trying to remove and re-route cable.
Great customer service this part will save me having to open the floor panels and re-run the new ELT wiring for the remote instrument small control panel. I had an AmeriKing (now junk ELT hit by an AD note. The ACK replacement ELT is a easy altetnative and I can use the original wire harness!
