Overview

The Aries features an integrated visor, which opens and closes into the shell of the helmet with a single-handed turn of the knob. The Aries addresses the need for a low-profile communication helmet tailored to aircraft with limited headroom. Constructed of vacuum molded carbon fiber and fiberglass, this lite weight helmet packs a punch when it comes to completing the mission.

The shell features a quick release chin strap buckle and adjustable strap, nape strap, fastened ABS adjustable ear cups for sound attenuation, and gel ear seals for added comfort. A Velcro-fastened adjustable liner completes the fitting.

The Aries comes standard with the communication package, and can be customized to each specific pilot's needs, including:
  • ANR
  • Boom Side
  • Air Vent
  • Tinted or clear visor - included
  • Gel Ear Seals
  • Cloth ear covers
  • Single plug or 2-plug cord
  • CEP ear buds
  • Color or Custom Paint
Communication package:
The Aries comes standard with the communication package that includes a choice of two-plug general aviation panel cord or single-plug helicopter cord with an emergency disconnect at the helmet via a Nexus U-92 A/U plug. The microphone, which can be mounted on either the right or left side, is an electret flex boom with foam wind muff. Hearing options include the standard 300 ohm ear cup mounted speakers and the optional military grade ear buds (CEP). Sound attenuation is noticeably better using the ear bud option, so this is something to consider before ordering. Perfect for aircraft such as:
  • Super Cub
  • X-Cub
  • L-39 Albatross
  • Thrush Agricultural Aircraft
  • Cessna Ag-Wagon
  • Gippsland GA200
  • Grumman AG Cat
  • Piper PA-36
  • Embraer EMB 202
  • PZL-106 KRUK

  • Helicopters
  • And many more!

Q: How much does this helmet weigh?

Approx 2.3 lbs.

Q: What is the anr in this helmet? It says active. Is it their own anr? And ceps are new to me, Are these used in conjunction with the anr? There are ear plugs?

The ANR is the Heasets Inc ANR. The CEPs are small ear buds that plug into the helmet. When the CEPs are plugged in you get audio through the ear buds and the speakers in the ear cups at the same time.
