Bogert Aviation’s first strut service tool. Typically, the aircraft is placed on jacks. The SST is partially filled with fluid. As the SST is attached to the strut, the pressure in the strut is released into the vented bottle. The strut is compressed and extended several times until the discharge is all fluid. With the strut compressed, remove the SST and service with high pressure air or nitrogen. |
Bogert Strut Service Tool
It would have been really hard to service the front nose strut without this. Expensive fir way it was…. But worked well.
Bogert Strut Service Tool
great tool
We started using this bottle bleeder a couple months ago. We found that even though the cap has a valve depressor built into it, If you remove the valve core from the shrader valve it will fill the strut much more efficiently. I only wish it has a longer hose (witch I can modify) and it had some from of a hangar hook integrated in it so it can hang on the engine mount or landing gear leg for one man operation. Other than that we love it and use it several times a week.
