I have used these joints for several years. They have proven to both durable and light weight.
good quality universal joint. On my airplane, there are bolts going through the u-joint on both sides. The hard steel makes it tricky to drill properly without a lot of slop. I contacted the company who makes these joints for ideas on how to accurately drill the holes, and they never returned my call.

Drilling matching holes for my installation was not easy even with a good drill press. After installation, a small amount of grease leaked out of the boot seal. However, all the slop was removed from the yoke system with the new universal.

The nominal size in the reference chart is not the ID. The ID is measurement B in the drawing. It appears the ID of 3/8 for -B8 in the ordering grid is correct and matches the data in the reference chart.
