Reviews

I have a Baron B55 ( empty weight with fuel and no pax or cargo way below their advertised 6000 lbs) This unit will not move it over a slight incline into my hangar. This unit does not have the power that the old one had. The new unit is powered by a Honda engine. The old original nose dragger gas had a more powerful Briggs and Stratton. I bought a new one but have already sold it. Thank goodness I didnt sell my old one. The picture in the catalog is not what the new one looks like. However, the concept is good for much lighter planes but not for heavier twins.

Q: I have a Lancair Legacy RG and the entrance to the hangar is at a slight slope. Does the tug have an adjustment for the rollers that guide the nosewheel (forward and backward) so that the aircraft wont roll forward and bump hard into the front roller when it goes over the crest of the pavement?

These units are designed to run on a flat surface; however, they can be used on an incline if the grade is below 5% grade. So this will all depend on the % grade of your slope.

Q: What are the weights and dimensions of the package?

DIMS: 57X34X21 / WEIGHT: 165LBS

Q: Just a note for you-all! I have a Cessna 185 with 10 inch tail wheel. Been using this nosedragger for a few years by just placing the nylon slides upside down. Captures the tail wheel perfectly. Pulls my Skywagon uphill into the hangar here at Show Low, Az. I like it. Gary W

Thank you for providing your feedback. We will post it for other customers to see.

Q: Will this NOSE DRAGGER GAS POWERED GAS POWERED TOW work on a Piper Seneca?

Yes if the Seneca is less than 6500lbs.

Q: Will it work with a Vans RV 9A?

Yes, this should work fine with a Vams RV9A.

Q: Will it raise the nose, thus lowing the tail of a Twin Comanche in order fo the tail to clear a T hangar upon entry? Thank you.

This does not raise the nose.

Q: We have a Vans RV-10 with wheel pants. The nose wheel pant extends down pretty far. Will this unit work with our airplane?

It is designed to work with wheel pants as long as you have 3 inches of ground clearance from the bottom of the wheel pant.

Q: Will this work on an Bonanza/Debonair?

If the gross weight is under 6500 lbs it should work.

Q: Does it work on tail draggers like those using the 3200 Scott Tailwheel?

No it will not work with taildraggers.

Q: Will this be able to facilitate a Cessna 152, 172 and PA34 and 44 on the same setting or do we need to purchase additional equipment?

Yes, this tug can handle 6000 lbs using the gas model. 12v can only handle 3500 lbs so gas would be recommended.
