Q: Will this intercom work with an Icom A24 or A6 radio?
Yes, with the Icom headset adapter that comes in the box for the A24 & A6 you can connect the radio to the Skycom 200E intercom.
Q: Can this unit be connected to the aircraft battery for power in an experimental plane?
This portable intercom is designed to be used with a 9V battery and does not have power and ground lines or the ability to support a 12 or 24 volt system.
Q: Will this i-1234;tercom function properly with this Icom IC-A110 VHF air band transceiver vehicle mount?
Yes you can use this for the A110 but you will need two Icom parts for this to work. First is the headset adapter for the A110 (OPC 871) 11-06198. Second is the Icom PTT 11-09131.

The Skycom 200E - 2 Place Portable Intercom will work with the ICOM IC-A22 as long as you use it in conjunction the ICOM OPC-449 adapter cable.

The skycom 200E 2-place portable intercom will work with the Yaesu FTA-310 if used with the CT-96 headset cable and a PTT switch such as part #11-12100. The cable length is 4.5 ft.

The Skycom 200E 2-place portable intercom will work with the Yaesu FTA-230 when used with the included CT-96 headset cable and a PTT switch such as part #11-12100.
Q: Can the Skycom 200E be used to link two passengers into the aircraft's intercom system through a single set of jacks?
The Skycom 200E allows you to plug in two set of headsets in the place of one. The two headsets on the receiving end will be capable of listening and speaking through just as one headset would without the intercom in place.

No, this adapter must be purchased separately. It is part number 11-18537.

When transmitting to ATC you would need to use a push to talk switch to send the transmission but to talk from Pilot to Co-pilot you can talk freely through the intercom.
Q: I'm new to portable intercoms so pardon the dumb question. I understand the two headsets plug into the intercom, but what is the purpose of the cord with the male plugs coming from the intercom?
The male plugs plug into your existing radio jacks attached to the panel. If you are using a handheld radio this intercom will not work, please see part number 11-00825

If you have dual GA plugs wired to your A200, yes this intercom will work.

We do not recommend this as intercoms are not indented be tied to multiple intercoms. No where in any of the intercom manuals show this to be a workable option.
Q: Does this intercom use VOX to turn mics on or are the mics always on? i.e Does the unit react to speech by opening the channels?
This unit uses VOX to turn on mics.
Q: Will this intercom work with the VXA Vertex 220 radio?
If you have the headsets adapter for the radio, this should work fine.
Q: Does the volume control on this intercom raise and lower the radio volume coming into the unit from the GA plugs that would be plugged into the portable radio?
The volume control does not affect the radio volume. It controls the intercom's output to the headsets.

Yes, these items will work together. You will need the Yaesu headset adapter as well.

Yes, these units are compatible so long as you use the Yaesu headset adapter that is included with the FTA 250L.

Yes, as long as the headsets are outfitted with dual GA plugs this will work great.

There is no list of compatible radios for this intercom. It works with most aviation radios and uses dual GA plugs to connect to the system.
Q: Will this intercom work with the aircraft installed push to talk for atc communications or I will need to install a second push to talk on the intercom ?
When using this, it becomes the main source for audio. Therefore a separate PTT is required.

Yes, both positions will be able to transmit, as the intercom only splits the signal being received.
