Gave it to my A&P for installation, all went well.
Artex ELT 345 Replacement Battery 8322
Battery pack was too thick and had to be forced into the ELT shell. Should be interesting removing it on the next scheduled change.

Artex ELT 345 Replacement Battery 8322
I was told by an IA that I needed this. He was wrong. May I return it then review?
Artex ELT 345 Replacement Battery 8322
Good parts and link to instruction included. ELT functioned properly after install. The other reviews that note the battery size are on the right track - its almost too big. However, I was able to get it to fit well by inserting the battery partially into the case and then force it in before connecting the circuit board. This didnt require any special tooling other than a pair of needle nose pliers to get the connectors linked up. Best of luck!
Too much foam insulation on it. Does not fit. Had to remove some of the insulation.
Artex ELT 345 Replacement Battery 8322
Ridiculous price & didnt fit into ELT unit without need to crush some of the styrofoam that surrounds the overpriced battery!
Artex ELT 345 Replacement Battery 8322
Does not fit into case without fabricated tools. We found the thickness of the assembly (2 D cells soldered together) sandwiched between thin slice styrofoam then wrapped in shrink tube to be 3/8 more than original battery assembly. Such a deal for only $ 350+!
