The Model M-7A is an Electret, noise-cancelling microphone designed to operate in place of carbon and amplified dynamic microphones. Provides clear, crisp voice transmission. It will not operate in circuits that do not supply a DC bias voltage. Most modern aviation communications equipment do supply this required voltage. If unsure, consult with your radio technical manual or with your local avionics shop. The microphone is designed and constructed from quality durable high strength ABS plastic as well as corrosion resistant metals meeting or exceeding the environmental, durability and interchangeability requirements of RTCA/DO-214. The set screws are already inserted in the mic. There is also an allen wrench included.
The H10-76 is a low impedance headset and uses the M-87 mic for low impedance.
The M-7A mic can be used with the H10-76 but is a high impedance mic for Civilian radio systems.
No, this will not convert the headset to ANR.
