There are two main categories of valves that are produced by Andair. The Standard range incorporates the 3/8"(FS20) and the 1/2"(FS25) Selector Valves. These valves allow for multiple tank switching of one fuel line. The other type is the Duplex valve. These units have two separate compartments that allow for two fuel lines to be switched simultaneously. These valves are used for fuel injected engines that require the fuel to be returned to the tank from which it was drawn from. Each fuel selector has some great features that make it different from the rest. To begin with, the valve operates using a brass ball valve that is highly polished before assembly, then a PTFE gland is packed against it. The feel of the valve is very smooth. Click for exploded view of seal assembly. A number of design features allow a positive selection action. There is a large red ever with 'Fuel' engraved on it and a clearly labelled fascia plate to indicate which tank has been selected. The lever also incorporates a safety detent mechanism. This feature acts in two ways. It allows for a good solid detent at each tank position and also the button on top of the lever must be raised to switch the fuel off. All these features help prevent the pilot switching the wrong tank or turning the fuel off. Click for exploded view of lever assembly. All of the valves produced can be supplied with a choice of fittings, an extension and even custom engraving. |
Five stars .
FS20F4F Andair Fuel Valve
Excellent quality.
Fuel Valve FS20X4 Female
The quality and finish is far beyond the valve provided by Vans, 2nd purchased and well worth the value.
Andair FS20X7T Fuel Valve For Vans
Really nice valve. You are not able to shutoff fuel without pulling up on a safety pin. Smooth operation
Andair FS20X7T Fuel Valve For Vans
Not only is this a nice looking installation it works smoothly! A little pricey for experimental but in my opinion worth it!
Best fuel valve. I have two of them. Very nice feeling instead of wondering if the valve is going to break as I wonder with brass valves.

No, they are intended for use in experimental aircraft only.
Yes, these are all AN6.
It has two female 1/4 npt ports. The FS20x1M would have two male AN6 fittings.
The FS20x8 valve is a 5 way valve (4 tanks and off).
No. These are for experimental aircraft only.
Per the vendor, "The set-up of this valve is such that the LEFT and RIGHT tank positions are at 45 degrees to the center line of the aircraft. "
