Mr. FunnelŪ Fuel Filters are simply amazing. Dirty fuel in.... pure fuel out. It's that easy.
The specially designed filter removes water and dirt from gas, even 2-stroke mixtures. Ethanol attracts water more than regular gasoline. Never before has a fuel filter been more important. Dirt and water are practically unavoidable in stored fuel, causing microbial growth, corrosive acids, electrolysis and rust. These contaminants can plug filters, corrode components, decrease efficient combustion and cause engine shutdown or system failure. When fuel is poured through the Fuel Filter Funnel, water and debris will not pass through the filter's fluoropolymer-coated stainless steel filter. Only filtered fuel flows through to your engine, improving its efficiency, durability, and proper operation. The sump area collects the deflected water and debris for proper disposal. The Fuel Filter Funnel will filter gasoline, diesel, heating oil, kerosene and 2-cycle mixed gas. The Fuel Filter Funnel is a heavy-duty, anti-static, and fast flow funnel with built-in filter technology. Lawn mowers, tractors weed trimmer/blowers, dirt bikes/ATVs, boats, even airplanes... will have longer useful lives if owners filter their fuel! |

F1C Mini Fuel Filter Funnel
Those funnels work great for me. I have to wonder if the fella complaining ever sumps his aircraft tanks, or understands the principal of water sinking below fuel.
I have used these funnels for quite some time, filtering diesel on the boat and another filtering Avgas for the airplane. For those who complain about fuel being left in the bottom of the funnel after use. That is how it is designed for trapping water. If there is any water in your fuel, that is where it is trapped. Always interesting to pour the residual into a fuel tester and see all the water being collected.
Works just as advertised. It takes fuel as fast as I can pour it from a fueling can.
I often fuel my plane with 5-gallon cans. I originally ordered the big Mr. Funnel size, but it was too large to have on board with me for cross-country flights. So, I ordered the small size and it works OK. The size of the filter is sufficient in that it does not fall through the fuel port. The filter does not allow a very rapid pour, so if I had to order again, I would probably go with the medium size.
F1C Mini Fuel Filter Funnel
filters great, several ounces of fuel left in bottom of funnel that can
filter works great but does not fully drain contents. Lack of drain funnel on top makes a messy job of returning un-used fuel to your jerry can.
Terrible funnel for several reasons, I discarded it after a single use. 1. The funnel doesnt completely empty - a couple hundred ml remain in the bottom of the funnel, and need to be dealt with after fueling - either thrown away or back into a gas can with another funnel. 2. The flat bottom (unlike a regular tapered funnel) causes gas to splash out all over the wing and yourself while fueling. 3. The flow rate on the large funnel isnt enough to keep up with pouring from a gas can - I had to stop and wait for the funnel to drain several times with each can I poured in.

Per supplier: These can be cleaned but there is no special way to clean them. We don't use any chemicals though, just some water.
The medium is 50 microns. Part # 05-01054
This will filter water from fuel. It is not specific to any type of fuel.
Yes this will work with ethanol.
This is made in the USA.
