Simple and quick to install. It gives me full confidence all flight controls are locked in place against high winds on my RV-8.
Amazing piece of engineering. Lightweight and tough. Works great on my RV-8. Holds the rudder, elevator and ailerons steady from moving in the wind.
Ultimate Gust Locks RV-8 8A
Easy to install. Works as advertised !
Just started using this but really impressed so far. Allows for only slight movement of all controls but holds very firm after that. interested to see how it holds up through all kinds of weather. Also like how small it folds up when not in use.
Definitely pricey but once set up easy to use and works. It is well made and will last a long time.
An excellent product. Fairly simple to use and store. Gives one confidence when my RV7 a is left when in windy location.
I’ve watched the Antisplat video twice on installing this and despite that it really only secures the rudder and elevator. The ailerons still move easily. I am securing them with the red rubber gust lock that goes outside between the aileron on the wing. I used to just wrap the seat belt around the stick and cinch it down to lock the elevator and ailerons and put the red rubber on top of the rudder, so I really haven’t gained anything using the ultimate gust lock
