Does not fit C182d. Would have to reroute everything on the firewall to non factory positions or move the motor mount... Neither of those are going to happen... If you do try it, you will get charged shipping to return the item and shipping from when they sent it to you. They refund to store credit as well, instead of your card...

This adapter is a good solution if you have an O-300 with an oil screen. If you have a Ford alternator, there may be a need to remove a small amount of material from the alternator case to fit the adapter properly. Mine arrived with the safety wire holes pre-drilled per the recent SB.
Be aware the TAF-L will not fit a J3 Cub without cowl modification. Tempest and Spruce need to list exactly what Cubs it does fit. Providing the customer with detailed information they have after purchase and paying international freight isnt a good look for Spruce.

I ordered the Oil Filter adaptor TAF-L for my Cessna 150L (1971) . The order arrived very well packed and arrived quickly. I have it installed now during Annual- Very Happy with the product- also received a copy of the STC and C of C (FAA 8130) .Aircraft Spruce is a great company to work with.
Wish the STC was printed darker...kinda cheap copy and hard to read. Otherwise great product.

Per Vendor: An A&P, working under/for an FAA repair station with a designated inspector inspecting his work, can install, complete the 337, and sign off installation of an oil filter adapter if he has the knowledge of how to do so. If working just with his/her A&P license, he/she can complete the 337 as well as installing the adapter, but has to have an IA sign after it is completed.
The only filters that will fit and work properly with adapter # 08-00631 are the Tempest AA48108-2 or the Champion CH48108-1.

Per Tempest: This would mount where the oil cooler would be. This doesn't screw into where the oil screw is.
