The old Brackett Air Filter was extremely dirty and I could not get the gooey, sticky, varnish material off (used solvents, WD40, and Gunk) the housing to inspect for serviceability during the annual. So I purchased a new Brackett frame housing and filter. I tired another product from Aircraft Spruce call StrutWipe I use to clean the chrome strut surface. StrutWipe got the varnish off the frame and cleaned up the intake with no issue. It worked extremely well in cleaning up all dirty sticky areas. I was able to inspect for cracks in the frame and found the housing in great condition. I was able the return the new Brackett housing to Spruce with no issues and ordered just the filter. Both Brackett and StrutWipe are great products, worth every cent. Excellent service from Aircraft Spruce as always!
