Tempest Air Filter AA198281 Replaces P/N: DCI PN: P198281 BAF PN: BA-5810 |
People seem to be under the impression that the Tempest filters have to be used to cancel having to comply with AD 84-26-02, and Tempest even tries to advertise it like that too, which isnt entirely true. If people took the time to do the research, they would find that the Donaldson induction air filter elements are a Synthetic type element which also cancels compliance with the AD. Also, regardless of which filter used, Donaldson/Tempest, you have to read the ICA Instructions For Continued Airworthiness for the filter which require replacement every 500hrs, 5 cleanings or 3yrs, whichever comes first. So in closing, canceling the AD doesnt cancel the 500hr replacement any which way you look at it.
