After precleaning with BONDERITE C-IC 33 AERO, rinse with water. Apply without dilution by brushing or swabbing with sponge. Rinse with water and surface is ready for paint. This is a visible coating which leaves the surface with a golden coloration. The alodized surface provides protection against weather and firmly bonds paint. 1 quart treats about 100 sq. ft. Flammable. Available in quart and gallon sized. HAZARDOUS

Alodine has been around forever. It is a good product and easy to use. 1201 is the way to go. Cant confirm that the parts are truly covered without being able to see the tint.

This product has a twelve month shelf life from the day the container is opened, but no longer than 36 months from the date of manufacture.
Coverage area will vary with the mix ratio, application efficiency, part size, and the amount of corrosion to be removed. Under ideal conditions, a gallon of ALODINE 1201 will treat 800 square feet of surface. Prime within 24 hours of application.

Yes, the gold tone is the only alodine 1201 in production currently. For Alodine 1001, see Part# 09-01628. This has a different tone.

We would recommend the 09-01630 touch up pen. It would require rinsing and its easier to keep it off the surrounding paint.
No as purpose of the alumiprep and alodine is the clean and prep the surface so that you can the primer it after the process, even if it is a self etching primer.
