A superior quality cement for strong splice joints. Use to cement tapes, rings and grommets to fabric cover. Available in pint, quart, or gallon sizes. This nitrocellulose type lacquer cement is used to cement aircraft synthetic and cotton fabrics, tapes, and grommets to fabric, cement aircraft fabric to plywood and metal in airplane construction and for attaching upholstery and soundproofing to cabin interiors. It is an excellent all-purpose cement for use on model airplanes. May be added to aircraft dope to improve adhesion to synthetic fabrics (one quart of FAB-TAC to a gallon of DOPE). This smooth flowing adhesive dries in 15 minutes to a tough film with a high tensile strength. May be coated over in 1 hour. Brush coating covers 110 square feet per gallon. |

Fab-Tac Fabric Cement Pint
I though I would need about 30 brushes to apply the adhesive to cover my Flying Flea but to my surprise the hardened brush softened up just by dipping it into acetone. I am still using the original brush halfway through the cover. Very impressed with the adhesive and the smell is not too overwhelming either.
Arrived earlier than expected, and was exactly what I ordered.

This is a glue like Poly Tak, not a sealer like Poly Brush. It can be used like the Poly Tak for finishing tapes. Be aware it is not part of the Poly Fiber STC, so it can not be used if you are following the Poly Fiber STC.
Yes, this is safe to be used on foam except for styrofoam.
Yes, you can use acetone or MEK to thin this product.
It does not contain MEK or Toluene.
Per Vendor: Fabric cement is like paint, you can use as much solvent (Acetone or MEK) to diluted up to your specific Viscosity.
It is very close to Poly Tac and can be thinned with Acetone, IPA 99 percent or Methyl Ethyl Ketone. It is not part of the Poly Fiber STC so if you are using the Poly Fiber system you would need to use Poly Tac.
Per the vendor you will need to test a small area to see if Fab tac doesn't damage the paint because the Fab tac base solvent is Acetone (very strong Solvent but fast evaporating).
