I havent used this insulation yet, but it looks like it will do the job. I was a little surprised at the weight. The 4X6 sheet weights about 4 lbs 12 oz. This was a little heavier than I expected.

Cotton fiber, see above. Foil goes toward heat source, leaves raw loose cotton fibers outward facing. Next.
Stuff burns faster then fire starter! It definitely fails the FAR23 Fire-retardant tests
