Per the instructions, this can be installed and left as a maintenance free charger, and maintainer for a lead acid battery. Odyssey batteries are lead acid batteries.
Per the Earth X website: It can be used for charging only. Maintenance voltage is too low.
We do not have any application chart which references your battery. This is designed to maintain small 12v batteries so if your battery has alligator clip access this should work.
The red light flashing indicates that the battery charger has AC power available and that the microprocessor is functioning properly. If the red light continues to flash, then either the battery voltage is too low (less than 3 volts) or the output alligator clips or ring terminals are not connected correctly.
It does not shut off automatically but it does switch to a "float mode" once the battery is at full charge.
No, we have a note on our website saying *DO NOT USE WITH GILL OR CONCORDE AVIATION BATTERIES. SEE DOCUMENTS TAB FOR EXPLANATION.
