Never be AOG for an ELT with spares available within your fleet. The Programming dongle is a smart connector identical to the DIN12 that is used to store aircraft programming information. Once attached to the ELT wire harness it allows fleet operators to move any ELT to any other aircraft. The stored aircraft data will be automatically downloaded into the ELT. A special DIN12 connector with a serial memory module (Called "Programming Dongle") is connected to the ELT when installed onboard. This programming dongle contains the identification information of the aircraft and remains onboard the aircraft. When an unprogrammed ELT is installed and connected to to this programming dongle and the "ELT" is switched to "ARM", it automatically updates its own memory with the identification data contained in the programming dongle memory. When the ELT is removed from the aircraft, it keeps its identification data. This connector is used in place of the DIN12 connector. Required for Navigation Interface connection. DIN 12 connector with serial memory module (SMM) for programming operations. Contains the aircraft identification data automatically downloaded to the ELT when switched to ARM. Avoids the use of specific programming equipment such as pr600 and computer in case of ELT replacement. For ELT-RCP connection (ELT side). Can be use with the following Kannad ELT models: (AF-COMPACT, AF, AF-H, AP, AP-H, AS, SURVIVAL) |
