Drain probe not only gives you an alternative to the high priced AVI probe but it includes some major improvements. Probe is leak proof! The AVI design could leak where it mates to the valve plunger making a mess. This design incorporates an O-ring seal around the valve body preventing leaks. The O-ring also locks the probe to the valve body. Also note the larger drain tube to speed up the oil flow and prevent restrictions. Valve NOT included, this is Probe ONLY Note: Not suitable for use with hot oil. 09M-PRB180 Replaces:

Great quality well made probe. Worked perfectly
Oil Quick Drain Probe 09M-PrB180
Terrible product, made of plastic and melts when on a hot engine (you know like, when draining oil from a hot engine as one does).

As an aviation professional in the business. I was pissed to see what it was actually made of for the price.! Item was not at all as pictured compared to the poorly 3D printed tool we received, I truly expected better from Bogert on this for the price! The picture thats advertised better reflected a small black anodized aluminum tool, but not this one.! I would have returned this tool just for principal and the poor ethics behind this, but could not as it was out of pure necessity to be used in finishing a customers aircraft utilizing the Aeroquip type oil drain. I hope Aircraft Spruce has a serious chat with Bogert on this huge discrepancy! As its not a good reflection on both partys to be selling stuff like this. Particularly in an era where I could have made this here in the machine shop at the hangar out of aluminum (Time permitting), or had the kids print this out at home. Thanks for reading.
This the 2nd quick drain Ive purchased. The first one was just like the picture. A plastic mold, although cheap, was nice. This one is clearly 3D printed, different size on the hose barb, and probably only costs .50cents to make. Complete Bull crap to be charging so much for garbage.
Looks nothing like the picture - a poorly 3D printed part (20 cents on an FDM and sold for $70!). Returning immediately.

Per the supplier: The engine doesn't really matter, it will only work on certain oil drain valves. Here is the listing on my site, "Identical to Piper part number 492-283, Beechcraft part number BJ-107, Auto Valve part number AVI-107."
Yes, this can be returned under our 30 day return policy.
This is plastic.
