Q: Is a new nose cone require for each size mandrel? or Is one compatible with multiple mandrels Ie m6 and 1/4 bolts?

Each thread size has its own nose assembly. Nose assemblies are sold separately.

Q: What is the clearance required around the chuck for installing rivet nuts into tubs? Or is there a smaller diameter extension?

The diameter of the chuck is about 2" and it could go about 4" into a channel. There is not an extension for this.

Q: Is this a pull type tool or does it simply collapse the rivet by spinning the center bolt?

This is a spin type.
