The new Switlik Aviator Life Vest is supremely more comfortable to wear, and specifically designed for the seated position in your aircraft. It's the vest you'll forget you're wearing.
The new interior cell folding technique combined with our open V-Neck design allows the Aviator to lay over your shoulders relieving the pressure on your neck during those long flights. We have located our new beaded handle in the center of the vest allowing for an easier approach for deployment. The breakaway safety feature eliminates the risk of snagging. The red handle also offers the best visibility in low light conditions. The Switlik Zipper closure keeps your inflatable vest secure at all times. The simple reliable dual breakaway design provides immediate inflation when activated. Backup oral inflation tubes are conveniently located on either side of the vest and easily reached through the side access flaps. |
The product exceeded my expectation.
Switlik Aviator Life Vest Ev-35 Orange
Easy to wear. Passengers do not seem to wear for two hours. They do rub neck a small amount. I wear collared shirts so they are very comfortable. Hope I never have to use them!!!
Very comfortable to wear for extended periods of time. High quality fir the price, Highly recommend
forgot I had it on when I landed. seems to be very well made and tough enough to last.
Best option in the industry for professional aviator continual wear jacket in hot environment. Other vests are bulky and increase fatigue with the extra webbing and molle system. Least is best for egress in my opinion. Slightly overpriced I feel otherwise would be 5 star.

I bought a pair of Switlik Aviator vests together with a pair of Revere Comfort Max, with the idea of comparing the cost/benefit of each and returning one pair. The Switlik’s are 3X the price, but better enough that I concluded I’d keep both pairs. The Switliks are very well made and designed. They fit much flatter to the body than the Revere’s. I reason the more comfortable they are the more we’ll wear them. They are cheaper, lighter and have less intrusive straps than other Switlik vests, but they still have the emergency light beacon, and a secondary inflatable chamber (by mouth) I like that the company is based in Trenton NJ. Haven’t confirmed they are US made but if so that would be a plus for me as well. 4 stars vs 5 because the price really is a big multiple of substitutes!
Very nicely constructed. The neck area seems like it would chafe your neck if wearing for prolonged periods, Im sure it would require a little break in or collared shirt. The neck could get fatigued because the weight if the vest is on your neck. The breakaway liner when inflating is pretty ingenious. This fulfills a need like advertised. If you want the weight off your neck I would suggest upgrading to the more expensive versions by Switlik with the vest that transfers the weight to your back and shoulders.
