Overview

The Rivet Nut is a one-piece internally threaded and counterbored tubular aluminum rivet that can be pulled up or headed while working entirely from one side, forming a bulge or head on the blind side. This upset is large enough to resist being pulled through metal or plastic even under conditions of eccentric load. It overcomes the difficulty of installing brackets, handles or other attachments to tubular pieces.

NAS1330A08106 Worked real well for a removable mechanical fastener vs rivets for a full size acrylic door. I needed to trim a 1/16 off the back side to fit flush after counter-sinking. Pulled easy with only one failure fifty due to my own fault. Easy fix. Note - If you keep pulling to hard after 75-85% of the pull is complete, you will strip the threads. Make a few test pulls to get the feel of it.

Q: What is the difference in keyless and keyed?

The keyed versions have a tab or key that prevents them from rotating during the install. You would have to notch the material to make a slot for this key.

Q: What is the degree of the countersunk head?

This will have a 100 degree countersunk head.
