The AirGizmos™ iPad Knee Dock is our answer to the problem of needing an accessible place in the cockpit for the iPad. If you have become accustomed to using charts on your iPad, you will enjoy having immediate access right at your fingertips. The AirGizmos™ iPad Knee Dock is designed to work with both the iPad and the iPad 2. We know that it is sometimes necessary to use traditional paper and pen to copy clearances, so we designed a fold over tablet holder that drops out of the way when not in use. Possibly the most amazing feature of the AirGizmos Knee Dock is the ability to adjust the angle of the iPad for best viewing angle. This feature cuts down on glare and increases the enjoyment of using the amazing iPad in the cockpit. |
Very clever design and has the tilt function. The ratchet tilt function and combined flip over notepad is why I purchased this unit however the unit mechanism has a very plastic feel and mine appears to have jammed in the tilt position. Instruction diagrams for operating are very poor so until I check on how to release the ratchet gear it may be just a user problem. Not likely as I have tried every lever as per instruction and the reverse in case instruction are wrong or misinterpreted.
I liked the design but the plastic made the knee board seem flimsy and the plastic mechanism for raising the iPad did not work smoothly and jammed.. if the knee board had been made out of aluminum , it would have been awesome.
