I ordered the pilot survival knife, and got the Flight Outfitters multi-tool instead - not sure who to follow up with here.

Great product and very well thought out and the quality I have come to expect from Flight outfitters. Would recommend this product.

Great knife overall. I love that the flashlight is removable and has a magnetized base. The assisted open is also a major bonus. If I could improve on this knife I would do the following: Make the body less slippery (e.g. textured), and add a small hole to be able to attach it to my flight suit with a lanyard for ditching scenarios.

I read about this knife in Flying magazine and immediately purchased a few (one for me and others as Christmas gifts.) I am pleasantly surprised at the knife and its value. Im not sure what the blade steel is but it is definitely sharp. The knife is a little heavy - but with all of its features, that figures. Well see how it holds up.

Subpar Pilot Survival Knife - Body of the knife is too slippery. Needs a textured grip like most hunting knives. - The Belt clip was not tight enough and slips out too easily. - The Knife blade was not sharp enough. And the quality of the Steel used is questionable, it doesnt seem to hold its edge very well and deforms quite easily. - The spring assisted opening of the knife is alright. - The Torch is meh at best and the magnetic base is a good touch. - The Glass breaker, while nice to have, will not work on acrylic windshields like most small GA Aircrafts have. - Yep, the Seatbelt cutter is good to have. Hopefully it stays sharp. Would I recommend it as a Pilot survival knife? Absolutely not.
