Rotomolded (thermoformed) kayaks, canoes and dinghies are durable and stand up to more abuse than their fiberglass equivalents, but they are notoriously difficult to repair; West System G/flex has changed that. G/flex bonds tenaciously to these plastics and makes it possible to repair cracks, holes and other damage on various types of plastics.
To make repairing your kayak or canoe easier, West System offers a Plastic Boat Repair Kit that includes all of the materials needed for small to medium sized repairs. The kit contains 8.4oz. of thickened G/flex epoxy, protective gloves, mixing pallets, reusable mixing sticks and detailed instructions to complete several different types of repairs. The package can be resealed for storeage in preparation for the next repair. You will need normal household tools such as a hack saw, knife or chisel, 80 grit sandpaper, packing tape, and a propane torch to complete the repair. Repair your plastic dinghy, kayak or canoe and get back on the water using West System’s G/flex plastic boat repair kit. |
