Fast delivery too Sweden even due to the fact that UPS is an old fashioned company from 1800 something. You need to sit at home the hole day to wait. They can not give an approx time. Will avoid them in the future.

Shell embodiment on MC5 is not steel it is aluminum. The lower pivot is round and may not fit between a slab bracket. There is a PDF drawing with minimum extended length downloadable from Spruce.

I ordered an MC-5A. The wrapping was labelled MC-5A but the actual part inside was labelled MC-5 which is 1/2 longer than the A. Also, the inlet thread for the fluid was defective and had to be repaired. The bottom attachment point did not have a clean 0.187 dia hole to get bolt through. These had to be reamed to size.

Q: What is the diameter of the resorvoir? This will help me with clearance design around my feet.

Please view the MC-5 Drawing found in the "Documents" tab of this web page for all dimensional information.

Q: Can these Matco MCMC-5 master cylinders be used on certified aircraft?

No, these are intended for use on experimental aircraft only.

Q: How is the reservoir filled when bleeding the system?

The system is bled from the caliper up. The reservoir is considered full when it is about 1/4" below the cap.

Q: Do you have a seal replacement kit for these reservoirs?

The reservoir on the MCMC-5 is vented to atmosphere and is not sealed. There is an o-ring under the cap but its function is to keep fluid from sloshing out. The reservoir has to be the highest point in the hydraulic system of fluid can run out of it.
