I use the Aeroshell #6 to service my Hartzell propellers every 50 hours with six pumps (1 oz.) per blade and I have never had a prop issue--this is my 51st year of flying.

A 6.6 pound can (3 KG) is the size of a 1 gallon paint can.

I use it on the all the aircraft, I work on except for the ones that call out for specific grease(ie. props which get Aeroshell 6).

Was easy to pack wheel bearings. Dont know yet about durability.

Used for AR builds. this is MIL spec grease for the M16 rifle barrel nut. Other stores on amazon repackage this in .05 oz containers for $10. This is the same stuff.

Piper specifies the MIL speck of Aeroshell #7 for all the grease fittings on my PA-30. Shell does not keep up with the demand for this grease. It took 2 months to get my order. If your plane requires #7, you best stock up so you do not run out.

Very useful stuff. Ive had much success using it to keep my warbirds many landing gear fittings well greased. Aeroshell #5 is readily applied using standard grease guns.

It is a/the grease that can be used on every part of a 1955 Bonanza. By the aircraft maint. manual. From Airframe to wheel bearings and electric prop pitch change bearing. However, almost every year it is on back order from Spruce. Just when I need it! Mobile 28 is a recommended substitute by the American Bonanza Society.

Grease is great but the back order delay is ridiculous...ordered this MONTHS ago but I guess better late than never.

After experiencing difficulty moving Aeroshell 22 thru my grease gun, I tried Aseoshell 7 and it worked well.

It’s my understanding that this is the recommended grease by Cleveland. Well I have been using Aeroshell 5 exclusively. I recently tried 22, and am NOT impressed. I removed bearings after 30 hours to do a tire rotation and found the grease had slicked off the bearing and they looked dry. These bearings where allowed to dry completely after cleaning with mineral spirits. The aircraft manufacture recommends Aeroshell 6, but I find it cannot handle temps above 75 degrees and turns to liquid. I may try the Mobil product, but most likely will continue to use 5.
