A week ago I installed my new FC-10 coupled to my existing Red Cube in my RV-8, then flew from Billund, Denmark to Duxford, UK (3:50), back again after two days (3:30). The FC-10 is great! Both times it showed me that I had 1:20 worth of fuel left at 65% Power! With the exact indication of Fuel Flow, Fuel Remaining/Endurance, Fuel Used I likely saved me making a Fuel-stop in the Netherlands! It can even be coupled to a fancy GPS, showing fuel at every waypoint. VERY good value for 238 USD! :-) HIGHLY RECOMMENDED (I already had their RPM-indicator installed too).

Excellent. I have one of these on a carbureted engine and a second one on a fuel injected one. Accurate and reliable. Very easy to read in all daylight conditions encountered so far. Good quality, great value. Highly recommended. And as always, world-class customer service from Aircraft Spruce.

This is the 3rd data systems fuel computer that I have installed and I have been happy with the performance, particularly the accuracy. I always receive excellent service from ACS as well

Q: Can you hook the Flight Data FC-10 to a Garmin 296 or other Garmin portables for GPS input?

Yes, per the manufacture you can connect a Garmin portable to input GPS data to the FC-10. Just make you get the Garmin Power Data Cable for your Garmin portable which will allow you to wire it to the FC-10.

Q: How long is the wiring provided for the sending unit on the FC-10.

Per the manufacture is it 6 feet.

Q: What is the preferred sending unit for gravity fed systems for the FC-10?

The FC-10 comes with FT-60 transducer which is for fuel injected engines. If you have gravity fed aircraft please note that on the order so we can order a FT-90 for your application (same price).

Q: What transducer is required on the Flight Data FC-10 for a low wing carbureted engine?

The Flight Data FC-10 comes with the FT-60 transducer which is used in aircraft with engine-driven fuel pumps & horsepower up to 350 HP.

Q: Is the Flight Data Systems FC-10 2 1/4 or 3 1/8?

Per the manufacutrer, the FC-10 is 2-1/4" Standard Panel Mounted.

Q: What is the size of this instrument? I intend to mount it in an existing hole in my panel and with limited space, this is something I need to know before ordering.

Per the manufacturer: the FC-10 fits in a 2 1/4" standard instrument hole.

Q: Is this Flight Data System FC-10 size 2-1/4"?

Per the manufacturer, the FC-10 is 2-1/4" Standard Panel Mounted.

Q: Does the FT-60 transducer come with 1/4 NPT fittings or adapters for both ends? If not, what is a good part number that would work? Thanks.

They are not included. Please see part # 05-04454

Q: Will this Flight Data System FC-10 work with a 582 Rotax with a standard pulse fuel pump?

This unit is only for gravity fed systems. For Rotax engines, we would recommend 10-03150 instead.

Q: Will this Flight Data Systems FC-10 work with fuel injection system that has a return line to the fuel tank? which would need a second sender to deduct the fuel back to the tank from the fuel used in the engine.

If your engine is equipped with a fuel return line from the carburetor back to the fuel tank you will need to install two flow transducers. One in the feed line from the fuel pump to the carburetor and one in the return line from the carburetor back to the fuel tank.
