Solidly built and works well just be sure the screws, holding each jaw insert, are tightened securely to avoid slippage and a sub-standard crimp.
1-3Sbhs Handswager Tool
This is an excellent tool. It has been producing perfectly on cable and electrical terminals and is going to last for many years. Absolutely worth the investment to get good work done quickly and correctly the first time.
If you are buying this tool to swage 3/32 sleeves, I would recommend a different tool. This tool looks well made but the jaws are not strong enough to crip standard MS51844-83 sleeves on 3/32 cable without misalignment of the jaws and a bad swage. I am a certified aircraft mechanic and purchased this for a specific project that required swaging 3/32 sleeves. I did find a temporary work around where you can start the swag, then clamp the jaws of the tool together side by side with a clamp or vice grips just enough to keep the jaws aligned and then finish the crip. It works well if you can keep the jaws aligned but they are not able to do it on their own.
